Prior to completing the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College in 2019, Melissa Henry earned a biology degree from Carleton University. She spent a summer assisting with basic medical care, husbandry tasks, and public education about wildlife conservation at a wildlife orphanage in Zimbabwe. Melissa has experience working with a wide range of species, having spent six years volunteering with the local wildlife rehabilitation centre. Melissa shares her home with her cat Yoda, her bearded dragon Elsa, and her puppy Thor. When she’s not working, Melissa enjoys the outdoors, arts and crafts, and watching and playing various sports.
