Growing up in Ottawa, Misha took the opportunity to learn about Rabies vector species at a young age, starting her lifelong passion in Animal Care at only 14, by volunteering with local wildlife centers. Her passion led her to dabble in the Veterinary Medical programs at an Ontario college before following her second passion, travelling. After a brief stay as a Veterinary Assistant with the ICU and Emergency department of an Ottawa Veterinary Hospital, Misha got her first opportunity to relocate. This sparked a 10-year love affair with Wildlife Centers and Zoos across North America allowing her the opportunity to learn and work with many exotic animals like Sharks, Birds of prey, Large mammals and a variety of Reptiles. A sense of family has brought Misha back to Ottawa where she managed the Reptile department of a local pet store before joining Nepean and Chapman Mills Animal Hospitals. She spends her free time in the great outdoors if weather permits, otherwise, she spends her time at home with her Spouse and step-son.
