Your pet’s health may require veterinary medical attention without notice and as a full-service hospital we want to accommodate their needs. We welcome pets in need of critical care at Nepean Animal Hospital. We have a dedicated staff that provides urgent care very quickly in order of medical priority. We accept walk-ins for critical care from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays. If time allows we encourage our clients to call ahead so we can provide instructions while en route to us. What is considered urgent care?
In order to cater to pets experiencing emergency situations, we ask that patients who have routine procedures schedule an appointment. Urgent care is given to pets experiencing the following:
- Excessive bleeding
- Retching with no vomit
- Severe diarrhea or vomiting
- Pain
- Known toxin ingestion
- Difficulty breathing
- Hit by a car
