Dr. Robert Ostrowski

Veterinarian

Dr. Robert Ostrowski graduated from a Polish Veterinary School in Wroclaw in 1982. Shortly after he graduated, he and his family immigrated to Canada. After working in general practice for 5 years, he decided to open his own veterinary hospital and in 1998, Nepean Animal Hospital opened its doors. The practice grew over the years and in 2004, he opened Chapman Mills Animal Hospital. Dr. Ostrowski provides services in abdominal ultrasound. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but he is well-known in the city for his exceptional level of skill with complex surgeries. For over a decade, Dr. Ostrowski has been repairing canine and even the occasional feline knee. He uses a variety of Arthrex anchors (Tightrope, mini Tightrope, SwiveLock, and FasTak) to stabilize the ruptured CCL.

After over 20 years of building a highly successful practice, Dr. Ostrowski decided that it was time to take a step back and sold the practice. This allowed him to continue practising veterinary medicine, but also spend more time doing some of the things he loves, like spending time at his beautiful timber log cottage that he built almost entirely on his own. If you can’t find him at work, he’s almost certainly working on improvements to his cottage, working out, or fishing on the lake.
